MediNurse gives the youth a chance to gain insight into the world of social and nursing careers before beginning an apprenticeship or a university degree. Under the guidance of professionals, volunteers can try out and decide whether a career in the social and nursing sector suits their interests. Most Volunteers end up practicing a career in the social and nursing sector.

AGE
​
Young people between 17 and 26 years old.
APPLICATION
​
The application has to be sent directly to MediNurse.
DEADLINE​
​
Voluntary Social Year usually begins on the 1st of August or the 1st of September of every year.
DURATION​
​
Like the name of the Voluntary Social Year indicates, it usually lasts 12 months. It can also be extended for 6 more months.
SALARY
​
The financial earnings are often called pocket money. The amount of pocket money varies between institutions.
ACCOMMODATION
​
The institute provides accommodation.
WORKING HOURS
​
Your working schedule is in accordance with the full-time employees of the respective deployment site, usually 39 hours a week.
HOLIDAY
​
A twelve month long Voluntary Social Year means that you have the right to receive 26 days off work per year.
